Mastering Rates

Unattended Mastering:

Minimum Charge: $150

Rate: $100 per hour.
We estimate that basic mastering costs approximately $10 per finished minute of the CD. For example: a 20 minute CD would cost around $200, a 50 minute CD will cost around $500, etc.. a 10 minute CD would be subject to the minimum charge

Generally, this estimate holds true unless advanced mastering services such as noise removal, digital editing, psychoacoustic processing, etc. are involved and an updated estimate can be given once we've begun work on the material. Material supplied on multiple reels and formats also is likely to cost more than the estimated amount.

Attended Mastering:

Minimum Charge: $200

All prices include One Master CD with PQ printout and One Proof CD.
Extra proofs are $5 each or 5 for $20.

Real time error check by engineer and Clover Diagnostic: $100.00
Shipping, per address via USPS priority Mail: $10

Tape Baking:

We can bake 5 reels of 2" or 10 reels of 1/4" tape in one round of baking. For the first bake we charge $75, which covers up to two days of baking. Tapes occasionally need longer bakes (we've seen them require up to 4 days) and any additonal baking past the first two days is custom quoted. Larger quantities can be quoted on an individual basis. Give us a call or email. Also please note that these prices are for baking where WE are doing the transfer. If you're planning on doing the transfers yourself we estimate baking on a case by case basis.

*The fine print:

A deposit for the estimated cost of the mastering must accompany all materials before Mr. Toad's will begin work on the job. We accept Cash, Personal, Business or Cashier's Check, Visa, Mastercard and Discover

Our turnaround time is generally 7-14 days. This is calculated from the day we have received all (yes, ALL) workable materials.
